It is me Lacy again. So how has life been treating everyone? I have seen that our friends have been adding to the family! Great to see all the little ones running around!!
My life has pretty much settled in to a regular cycle of the Big Orange ball in the sky and the Silver ball in the dark sky. But now it seems that the Big Orange ball does not stay out as long now. And it seems to be further towards the hayfield when it goes behind the trees at the cycle when the silver ball… Continue

Hi again. Wow, what a couple of months it has been for me! I am still a girl, but won't be a woman LOL. I have gone on a whirl wind of a change from what I knew two months ago. But I have found that this life is not bad at all. I get to chase bugs anytime of the night because they gather around the bright… Continue

I guess my name is Lacy now. So far I have been called dog, and girl. The other day I was at a house that my brother and I had found ourselves left at. We had been there for a little while. It was good to be there, but whoa, too many other not so nice dogs(.Hence the damage to my nose) But, John the human introduced my brother and me to a couple of new people. Suddenly my brother was getting in a truck with one of them. I tried to ask my human John what was happening. Just then, the human I… Continue

Our Natasha had a tumor (wart looking that was fast growing) on her back. We had it removed yesterday. We will now have to wait about 2 weeks for the results. The doctors were great though in shaving as small patch as possible for the surgery to allow a quicker growth back as she heals- hopefully by July 7 when she is scheduled to fly to Argentina for a show.
Interested in learning more about cancer in dogs and especially vizslas, I gathered information in Natasha's other blog… Continue

I was picked-up as a stray in Allegan County Michigan when I was (they think) about 7 1/2 months old. This would have been approx. June 18 or 19 of 2009. I was held in the high-kill shelter (Allegan County Aniumal Control).
Thankfully, I has been adopted and now live wif 2 other V's and a Westie.
The sad fing is ... I know nothing about my parents, my breeder or where I came from. When…

So, I need some advice. My dog Roxy has lost 7 lbs since the beginning of the year. We made a move from Indy to Knoxville and I think that has freaked her out. So, since she wasn't eating well (Iams Large Breed dogfood), I changed her dog food to Nutros Lamb and Rice (for Large Breeds). She seems to love it and has been eating on a much more regular basis.
I have been feeding her this food for about a month now and she seems to puke at…

If anyone is wondering what Eric is talking about, I did alot of research on pet food after the recalls. I was upset that I had been recommending food that was being recalled. I have found a food that is formulated by a vet that is highly accomplished and on the Discovery and Animal Planet channel. The food is holistic and made weekly to be shipped to people's homes. It is never older than four to six weeks when you get it and has never had a recall. The vet is also on a phone call every other… Continue

I am putting together my puppy folders that I give out to their new owners. In the folders I include an e-mail from a veterinarian and thought it would be important to post it here. Jan can verify the information as she has also gotten this e-mail from the vet.
Dr. Heinold had found that SMZ-TMP (Tribrissen, Bactrim) antibiotics can cause liver failures in Vizslas. She noted this as an anecdotal caution in "The Vizsla" by BC Boggs 2000. She states that she will not use this on any of… Continue

I think this site is really fun. I do not want people to think we are not interested. Next week we are here. I have to go out of town on business the first week of February. Misha and her brother, Tidbit, a Chihuahua, eleven years old, who keeps Misha in check, will go to Petsmart Hotel which they love. They get lots of playtime, are kenneled right next to one another, with music, and I can check on them 24/7. I always miss them lots. Hate leaving them.
Do your Vizsla's like… Continue

"Every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
